 At its core The Lowdown is a 4 piece band. On top of this they have The Keys Collective, The Dragonfly Horns, a horn section and The Cherry 3 who are a 3 piece backing vocal group to call upon if required turning the band from a 4 piece into up to an 11 piece musical extravaganza.

The low down on The LowDown is they play everything from Blues to Disco, Rock, Funk, Reggae, Soul, Motown, Ska, Pop & all in between - all with their own little twist. Think Jam band meets high end session backing band - with a proven track record individually & collectively - that get together & play their favorite songs & you’ll be somewhere near the right ball park.

Between them the band have played at the wedding of Jodie Kidd, HRH the King & Queen of Malaysia NY Party, Holders Festival, London Fashion Week, The Royal Berkshire Polo Club and The Frankfurt Motor Show to name just a few.

They have played at Glastonbury, V Festival, T In The Park, 02 wireless, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Isle Of Wight, South By Southwest & the list goes on.

As well as their high profile and industry work the band between them have played on over 500 adverts, records and singles, done seasons playing in the French Alps and 1000's of private functions, parties, weddings and events.

The band has also toured, worked & played with artists such as Gnarls Barkley, Amy Winehouse, The Streets, Ugly Kid Joe, Reef, Boka Halat, Sandi Thom. They have toured all over the world and have appeared on shows such as Top Of The Pops, CD:UK, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Jools Holland Show and channels like MTV, BBC 1, Channel 4, ITV, MORE 4, Sky One, Sky Three to name a few... and one of the band even worked on the Cadbury’s Gorilla ad....HOW COOL!!
