In the midst of a miserable Britain, wallowing in the self pity of recession, five people stand that won’t make an impact on anything economic, but will certainly turn frowns upside down. Or at least, they’ll offend you. With track names such as ‘I Never Knew I’d Be This Fat’ and ‘Breasts on his Back’, Son of Robot’s self-produced music videos have gone to infect the media industry. An offended Channel 4 has named the video for ‘Breasts on his back’ “demeaning and insensitive”, whilst online e-magazines Epic Fu and Channel Frederator have praised the video and song describing it as a “gem”.

In Son of Robots two years of existence the band have graced the stage at London’s Astoria 2, in front of multi-million dollar entertainment company Bodog and wreaked havoc at sold out Concorde 2 shows in Brighton. Son of Robot provide nothing but energetic, explosive performances and hilarious tunes that leave crowds singing for days after.

Son of Robot are not your ‘run of the mill’ indie band and don’t fit into a stereotype. They are unpredictable, yet well executed and a performance will never be the same twice.
