Soulcyde

Lorraine Bowen is an international performer - once seen and heard - never forgotten!  She’s UNIQUE!  Playing her trusty Casio organ on its ironing board stand, dancing to original backing tracks, singing hits from her four albums, entertaining with hilarious surreal stories of her musical colon, bingo wings and burgers... she’ll have you in stitches in no time!

Lorraine Bowen performs in the UK and abroad (Italy is one of her favourite places!) to anyone with a sense of kitsch, cabaret and fun!  She is regularly heard on BBC Radio 7’s Heated Rollers and the John Shuttleworth series and can often be found performing in cabaret events, pubs, clubs, private parties and festivals.

Lorraine Bowen was spotted by Billy Bragg many years ago and after playing piano with him across Europe, went on to help him improving his vocals on several albums.  Billy encouraged Lorraine to start up on her own and she has never looked back.  After writing four albums herself and performing all over the world she now encourages other performers to sing and entertain in her workshops and performances.

The Crumble Song is one of her greatest hits and has been translated into several languages.  The Bombay Mix of the Crumble Song is a particular favourite and can be found on the Bossy Nova CD.

If you want someone quirky, original, hilariously funny, hugely talented and totally unforgettable, look no further than Lorraine Bowen!
